Cheng-Chieh Lin, M.D., Ph.D.

“How would you want others to remember you? “-Jyh-Hong Chen, MD. PhD, FACC

Dr. Jyh-Hong Chen, M.D., Ph.D., is an international leader in the field of cardiology. He became the dean of College of Medicine on Aug. 1, 2015 and later the Vice President of CMU.  Dr. Chen formerly served as the Superintendent of National Cheng Kung University Hospital, the President of Taiwan Society of Cardiology and the Vice President of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.  His specialty is in treating High Blood Pressure, Coronary Artery Disease, Atherosclerosis and Atrial fibrillation.

It is through inheritance and Integration in which we lit the light for the next generation. With this belief, he has established the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the MD-PhD Program to devote himself in educating future physicians and scientists. Most importantly, he encourages everyone that opportunity favors the prepared mind. Everyone can make his or her dream possible.

Devoted himself in saving “the hearts” of the patients, Dr. Chen believes in connecting each other with hearts for he cannot agree with a famous saying of his mentor, “ before coming a doctor, become a man. “ Only can a humane and empathetic physician be truly successful.
