Visit of Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences

Through the referral from the Center for International Academic Exchange of Asia University, three scholars from Mongolian Medical University, Prof. Zorig Dungerdor, Prof. Ishdorj, Prof. Amarbayasgalan Ravdan, three exchange students from Mongolian University and Prof. SHANG-JYH CHIOU from Asia University were invited to visit the university. In accordance with the instruction of Vice President Wu, the College of Medicine and the University' s Exchange Center are responsible for the reception and discussion of mutual exchange and cooperation.

The seminar was attended by Dean Shen of the School of Medicine, Head of the Center for Academic Exchange Leung, Yuk-Man, supervisors and faculty members of College of medicine , and also invited Ms. Huang Yuqi of the Department of Nursing to participate in the seminar and visit the research laboratory of the Cancer Center, the Molecular Medicine Center, the Health Center, the Brain Stroke Center, and the Radiology Department of the Hospital. After the visit, Dean Shen further exchanged ideas with the visitors and the preliminary conclusion was that

1. In accordance with Asia University's experience, nine Mongolian students are currently enrolled in graduate institutes at Asia University, including one in Public Health and two in EMBA. Asia University will provide scholarship to Mongolian Medical University students and the university will provide courses for them to study in our medicine, Chinese medicine, nursing, and Chinese medicine institutes.
2. Senior students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Mongolia can attend two to four weeks of clerkship at the affiliated hospital, and residents of the affiliated hospital of the University of Mongolia can also attend training at the affiliated hospital of CMU.
3. Faculty members from both sides will be able to attend Mongolian universities, and faculty members from the other side will be able to join the research at CMU.
